How Many Official Games were Released for this Game Console?...
Ever think “I wonder how many games they came out with [Insert System Here]”.
I think a lot of people who collect ROMs or have the intention of building their own Arcade Machine wonder about this on a daily basis.
There are many game “audit” programs like “Good Tools” and “ROM Center” that are designed to help people audit their ROM / Game collections, but far too often these programs include titles that you really don’t need or want, like Demos / Hacks / and Public Domain games you are never going to play.
I started creating my own manual audit lists with the intention of listing only official releases of games. While I am a “completest” by nature, I think a lot of these unneeded titles clog up a collection with games you are never going to play.
My manual audit lists are works in progress. If you are looking for an audit tool that covers all games regardless of quality I would recommend using GoodTools for the job. But if you are looking for a great resource to help you create the most authentic "Official" game collection for your PC or home built Arcade Machine you have come to the right place.
